Knights of Columbus Fish Dinners:6:30-8:30 pm on February 20 and March 6 and 20 at the Father Cuddy Hall in Derwood. Come out for the Knights’ Lenten fish dinners featuring the following meals:
February 20: Fried fish, sides, dessert, and beverages
March 6: Baked salmon with shrimp, sides, dessert, and beverages
March 20: Fish tacos, sides, dessert, and beverages
Penance:
Confession:5-7 pm Thursdays and 3:30-4:30 pm Saturdays in the St. Clare Chapel of the Rectory (English); 3:30-4:30 pm Saturdays in the church confessional (English and Spanish).
Lenten Penance Service: 7 pm March 23 in the church. Come receive God’s forgiveness this Lent!
Almsgiving:
Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl:Available on Ash Wednesday in the Gathering Space. Pick up a Rice Bowl and commemorate Lent in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in foreign lands.
Lenten Food Drive:In the Gathering Space. Donate non-perishable food this Lent to benefit people served by the St. Martin Food Pantry.
Share the Cross:Starting February 28, take a cross from the display in the Gathering Space and donate the cost to support the work of the sister parish missions in Haiti.
Small Group Opportunities:
Lenten Devotional Small Group: At9:30 am Tuesdays on February 17 and 24 and March 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31 in the Kuehner Room, join this opportunity to heal and grow spiritually and emotionally in confidential concert with fellow parishioners, using the text “Cultivating Healing and Wholeness in Heart, Strength, Soul and Mind.” Sign up in the Gathering Space.
Women’s Bible Study:7 pm February 13, 20, 27, and March 6, 13, and 20 in the Kuehner Room, join a Bible study on the Letter of St Paul to the Colossians. The discussion will be guided by the book, “Rooted and Radiant,” which can be purchased on www.walkingwithpurpose.com.
